Workplace injuries are classified as catastrophic or non-catastrophic for purposes of workers' compensation. Catastrophic injuries are those involving:
- Amputations
- Severe paralysis
- Severe head injures
- Severe burns
- Blindness
- Other severe injuries that prevent you from being able to perform your prior work or another job for any employer
Workers' compensation will pay two-thirds of your average weekly wage, up to a maximum of $675 per week, for as long as you are unable to return to work. Medical and vocational rehabilitation workers' compensation benefits are also covered.
